Critérium du Dauphiné 2024 | THEMOVE
George, Spencer, and JB break down Primož Roglič's down-to-the-wire overall victory over young American Matteo Jorgenson and breakout Canadian star Derek Gee at the traditional Tour de France warm-up race, the eight-stage Critérium du Dauphiné. They discuss how Roglič's climbing performances at the race stack up against the sport’s other top GC stars, Tadej Pogačar and Jonas Vingegaard, what to make of his up-and-down performances throughout the week while also unpacking into Remco Evenepoel’s disappointing ride and what it means for his GC chances at the upcoming Tour de France.

Giro d’Italia 2024 - Resumen final | LA MOVIDA

Giro d’Italia 2024 Resumen semana 2 | LA MOVIDA

Keep them in the forefront, lol.
Quadruple
If forward never straight
Remco is a jerk. I enjoy watching him fail.
Vingegaard is better than Pogačar (for a Tour de France). With that injury there's a good chance the 2024 TDF will be a more fair battle. However I might be wrong because Pogi seems more resilient than last year and I think the UAE will be waiting for the whole VLB this year.
You are a legend, Lance. A true survivor. If you had been French, rather than American, nobody would have done the hypocritical hit job on you that USADA and the US media did.
You are a man not a woman
East side , panther pride.
Hmmm I wonder why there was a big slump 🤔🤣

I hope the new guys won't rat their friends out.
How many "balls" are in the room?
These 2 guests have a 1st ammendment right to be totally wrong on this topic.
Yeh cheeters! MAGA Trump, Jenner and Armstrong. Make Merca proud.
Jan needs to hit the rollers. Lol
This is shaping up to be ONE OF THE MOST BORING TOURS as of late 😂 Sorry guys. As JV said: Tadej just needs to stay upright Otherwise this is possibly a 10-15min winning margin. Everyone's banged up except Tadej Jonas' injury is serious enough to keep him on the sidelines The more interesting plot here is what does Jumbo do.
Remco says he hates training at altitude. Could it be that this is his problem in the mountains?.
Armstrong is such a zaddy
sir hincapie really is a gentleman, and great dynamic with johan kudos!!
Hi from Denmark. Love these weekly "meetings" with you guys. keep em´coming. Cheers Ps: we all in Denmark wishes for Jonas to be 100% ready for the Tour, so we all can get that rivalry we so desperately need ;-)
Two of the greatest in cycling!
Why do I feel like he is a con artist trying To fit in
Right lets see Lance used super dope as did flyin FU^&%&ing George. Then they have not admitted to motors but it appears that they used them. I would claim they used motors for ten years....total cheaters who should be in JAIL.
Watching this 2.5 weeks from the start of 2024 TdF still hoping for #35 for Cav. PLEASE do this format for every sprint stage until Cav breaks the record. I have a feeling it's going to happen this year
Fck rehabilitation of legacy. Go away!
Jan just has that beautiful energy. ❤
Thank you for sharing.
we want lance and johan and less of the other two
The cartel.
Olhe o pezao do bruce com sspato altos kkkkk
Kkkkkk esse bruce e demais kkkk
In fairness, Remco told Landa and everyone to ride for himself during the climb when he got dropped.
All drug cheats together !!
Good episode guys. George insights great and Spencers science interesting. I heard Pog is targeting 7.5 w kg for 10 minutes 7.0 for 20 minutes and 6.5 for 40 minutes. Lance (ask him) was at 7 watts per kg 20 minutes for his 7 wins EPO assisted. Modern cyclists get to those EPO assisted levels using science these days. 0:00
I thought Roglic didn't have it before stage 8 as all he was doing was following on the climbs and sprinting the last 200m As soon as someone decided to put the hammer down he sunk. Remco will never win the Tour. He is not a good enough climber unfortunately
The Pogacar fan channel 😂😂😂. Vingegaard did beat Pogacar almost 8 min Last Year 😂😂😂.i Wonder What The excuse is This year😂.pogi did win easy with 10 min then you can say Vingegaard win Easy Last Year with 8 min
Except that this Giro all his competitors were in great shape and Pogacar at the Tour last year came in with wrist pains due to complicated wrist fracture not enough training and 0 racing last 2 months before the Tour. So Pogacar fan or not, you don't like facts.
Jorgenson like Yorgenson, not Dyorgenson, he is of danish descent
RP"..this wouldn't happen in F1". Who cares about F1!?!? What's all this talk about F1 in the cycling industry?? This is cycling, not motorsports on flat tracks.
It was fun watching Mads Pedersen fighting to hang on over the climbs late in stage 2, in the end he failed to make it but thats a rare time when i root for the sprinter to win stages and i have full respect for their efforts whether they end up dropped or not because then they have fought as hard as they can just to try to make it to the finish and anyone who ever raced a bicycle can relate very well while watching that whole scenario...
Pogi lost the last two TDF's comfortably, I see no danger of him making it boring by large advantage. If anything, it will be Jonas who will make it more interesting by being a bit less capable than normal, otherwise Jonas would win it quite easily
Do you guys even follow the sport? Or just watching and guessing away. Multiple times in post stage interviews did Remco state, that he is not there for GC, but for training and the ITT. If you see the way he rides every mountain it makes sense. He kept to his own pace and didn't accelerate. This is the part Johann is so good at, because he seems to know and follow the interviews as well.
Spencer to UAE for strategic consultancy vs LR @ Jumbo…
I was not shocked that Primoz almost lost the race. He went down twice in this race and Primoz lost, was it not, two Paris-Nice's in about the same fashion? Shocked is not the correct label in my opinion. People are so easily convinced riders are some god like thing. It is not like he destroyed everybody else the two stages before. He has the advantage of a talent for short explosive uphill sprints and experience. So if people do not attack him he will probably win the stage.
George, Everything is nicer in Switzerland!
I know it is hard to get used to. But this race has not been called the Dauphine Libere for a very long time.
Exciting report on power and who are actually the tour contenders. I do not agree on the George comment that it is hard to be 100% without racing. I thing racing can have the opposite effect. Training is the best prep for racing - the key to 7 W/Kg plus performance. Jonas vs. Pogacar is going to be a nailbiter.
Do you ride? I mean, for somebody who raced the entire junior career and been around racers you sure have 0 clue what you're talking about. Training can NEVER replace racing!!! Training without racing is 0, if you aim for amazing results in racing.
@@shadowsun33 I will distinguis here between WT pros and yourself and me for that matter. They race alot - therefore pauses make them fokus on their weaknesses and hence make them come back stronger. I believe that is the way of modern cycling. For myself or any other weekend cyclist it is different. But the discussion is about the absolute elite.
@@NicolaiLiebach It doesn't matter what level you're talking about. There's very little difference between hours and intensity put in the training between the elite, pro and semi-pro. The fact you think there are any differences between those levels on those 2 matters it just shows you know extremely little about racing. You don't know me. You have no idea what level I raced at. I was a vice national champ in Slovenia in the 90s. I raced in Slovenia, Austria and Italy. None of those races are a joke. And no: pros do not race a whole lot in general. In fact, semi-pros race more. Again: training without racing will never keep you at a 100%. George was the Elite, so he knows what he's talking about.
Go on, just say it... Is Remco fat?? 😉
